C U R R E N T   A R T W O R K S

     Having taken a sabbatical from painting to compile "A Life Of Art" (my catalog of 1200+ fine art paintings and drawings), my Current Works are not all exactly current (still, I hope my work is timeless). Included here are samples of paintings from a variety of different creative directions I have explored most recently. The large High Sierra landscape paintings ("Way To Echo" and "Day's End") which look like photo realism at a distance are actually more expressionistic up close. The Sierra landscapes are my celebration of these beloved mountains which we backpack. "Sweet Harmony & Lite Magic" is a sample of my Random Access Composition series with the objective to make the sum of the parts greater than the whole. Other examples can be found in my Abstracts. "Circle Of Life" is a mixed media construction from my Art Chunks series. This wall sculpture is actually a carved relief which is painted with acrylic. "Redgreenblue" is pure abstract expressionism. "Sage Enlightenment" is one of my Monumental Minimalist Miniatures, actually studies for much larger paintings which are as yet unexplored. "Blessed" is an example of photo real portraiture.
